Myself, my husband, our 17 year old daughter and our 8 yr old daughter are on a search to find a long term opportunity to commit our lives to living and working in a sustainable community. We are researching many, many communities on and off-grid at the moment and narrowing down the life we truly want to live. We all have experience living and working in intentional communities for the last 6 years, traveling from coast to coast and even Puerto Rico, learning many skills that we can bring to the table to help. We are extremely hard working individuals and we admire working with others who enjoy working hard as well.  We are not alcoholics, but enjoy a nice brew or wine once in a while.  We do smoke our own rolled tobacco, but never in a building or near gardens.  We do not do drugs, but have no problem with medicinal herbs.  Our 17 year old is a recent homeschool graduate of our Sisters Grimm Academy and our 8 year old is curious to go to a public school, dependent on the state and common core standards, etc.

We are currently indulging in a workaway opportunity near Lincoln, Nebraska and looking to find our new home/adventure within the next 2 weeks or so.  We are looking for a long-term situation and more permanently if your community is ideal for all of us.

A couple of skills that we can offer you are as follows:

Consensus Decision Making
Facilitation
Conflict Resolution
Chickens and other animal husbandry
General Maintenance
Farmers Markets
Harvesting
Water pump and gravity fed water systems
Cooking for an average of 14 incorporating different options for vegans, vegetarians, raw food diets and more (All with LOVE of course
Gardening (Herbs, vegetables and flower beds) (Companion planting and have researched many other types of gardening)
Composting
Recycling
Food preservation (Canning, Dehydrating, Apple processing and pressing)
Handyman work
Extreme cleaning (no joke - I like to be organized - a dirty floor is a hard days work; so it is to be expected )
Extensive computer experience including Graphic Design work (logos, business cards, flyers, etc.)
Marketing and Networking
Extensive spa and pool maintenance
Goat Milking
Up-cycling
Firewood Processing
Some experience with construction - but, most is self-explanatory
and so much more to help and willing to learn more and more

We are interested in any living situation that includes a roof or a tent if needed during the summer.

We are mature, hard working, responsible, love hanging out, playing music, bonfires, drum circles, community gatherings with locals, playing cards and making our home a beauty in itself.

We do not have transportation, as we recently just got back from Puerto Rico, so we will be arriving via plane or bus if closer to Nebraska.

We are more than happy and willing to answer any and all questions you may have for us.

Love & Light

Hi Steve - You have a beautiful thing going on in Washington. Unfortunately, we would like to stay as close to Michigan as possible. After venturing off to the West Coast last year and this year; we found ourselves missing the chance to be closer to family.

We wish you the best and with the positive energy that you are putting forth to make this happen; I feel you can truly create a life of utopia there in WA.

For others you may read this post. We are really open to a lot of places. The West Coast and East Coast is not one of them.

Myself, my husband and our 4 yr old daughter are on a spiritual search to find a long term opportunity to commit our lives to living and working in a sustainable intentional community with other children. We are researching many, many communities on and off-grid at the moment and narrowing down the life we truly want to live (update as of 7/11/13 - we wish to live in an intentional community with tribal governance). We all have experience living and working in intentional communities for the last 2 years, traveling from coast to coast learning many skills that we can bring to the table to help. We are extremely hard working individuals and we admire working with others who enjoying working hard as well. We are not young and we are not old, but we are healthy, ready and able. We do not have any mental problems, our daughter is a social butterfly and we live to love, direct positive energy and live life to the fullest. Our longest communal living experience was at Alpha Farm in Oregon.

A couple of skills that we can offer you are as follows:

Consensus Decision Making
Facilitation
Conflict Resolution
Taking care of Chickens and other animal husbandry
General Maintenance
Water pump and gravity fed water systems
Cooking for an average of 14 incorporating different options for vegans, vegetarians, raw food diets and more (All with LOVE of course

Child Care
Homeschooling
Extensive computer experience including Graphic Design work (logos, business cards, flyers, etc.)

Extensive spa and pool maintenance
Goat Milking
Up-cycling
Firewood
Some experience with construction - but, most is self-explanatory
and so much more to help and willing to learn more and more

(UPDATE AS OF 7/11/13):
A place where our daughter can play and learn with other like-minded children
A place where we can be self-sufficient through our own efforts and barter
A place where we can grow our own food
A place where we can have fun and enjoy life after a hard days work
A place where we can come together with other like-minded individuals to make a change (the right to be able to have all of this in the future)
A place where we can fill life's needs while leaving distractions behind

A simple explanation for a simple life...

We are mature, love hanging out, playing music, bonfires, drum circles, community gatherings with locals, playing cards and making our home a beauty in itself

We are more than happy and willing to answer any and all questions you may have for us.

Absolutely and thank you - I have been researching their facebook page and website "all day". We wanted to wait to call them after dinner. We are in Michigan, so they are just an hour behind us. Thank you again.

Greetings from Norton Shores, MI - We have traveled cross country throughout the United States learning viable skills to start our own intentional community and found it very interesting to see that you want to settle in Muskegon. We recently came back from Alpha Farm in OR and came back home to be closer to family and friends. We were ready to head out again in search of a permanent home and decided to stay in MI because of the abundant water supply, beautiful scenery, humidity, diversity, gorgeous storms and an abundance of farms to network with and so many more reasons. When you both get here in MI - Hit us up with an email @ comtngl@gmail.com - Would love to get together and talk. We have no means to purchase land at the moment (would be years before we could). We are a small family with a 4 year old little girl and would love to help you get started.

We are interested in any living situation that includes a roof or we can use our tent for the summer at least.

We are mature, love hanging out, playing music, bonfires, drum circles, community gatherings with locals, playing cards and making our home a beauty in itself :)

We must be able to be paid at least $600/month combined or less if toiletries, auto insurance, etc are paid or not needed or be able to work off the property 1 or 2 days a week. We are not materialistic in anyway and will have whatever fits in our car when we arrive.

We are more than happy and willing to answer any and all questions you may have for us.
