here is one of myself and some tamworth partypigs hanging out on THEIR farm in NH a few years back.
a great pasture breed with wonderful mothering instincts.
I have to look on a different HD for other pictures of them, mainly of the complete herd with piglets and some of the boar.
feel free to use it under public domain.

I guess it could fit in with your "spanisch patrone/plantation owner" requirement...

peace and joy,

I have used rhubarb to make paneer on many occasions.
this freshly made indian style cheese is one of my favorites. but I was bothered by having to use lemon or lime juice, something which is not easily grown in colder climate zones, such as new hampshire or germany.
and god forbid I should use white vinegar as some have done (but it works).
depending on the growth stage and concentration of acid, one will have to extract juice from at least 6 or 7 stalks (or more) for one liter of milk.
but the flavor of such cheese is divine.

thanks a million
that's really good advice - the part with the eye contact and staring at goats (wasn't there some strange movie about it?).
I can follow the idea and it makes sense. a dog with the ability to maintain an eye for the whole picture and not be distracted by individual rebel goats.
but to find such particular character trait one would have to wait until the dog is probably a year old, no?
puppies won't be winning or loosing staring contests right away, me thinks...

we are just starting the thinking process about goat and cheese, but eventually that will become a reality and having a dog may be helpful for moving them around pastures.
peace and joy all of you there in portugal

old post - new thought -
one movie I particularly like for it's permie quality is 'castaway on the moon' or 'kimssi pyoryugi' under the original title.

a korean movie about a guy making his own little permie lifeboat experience happen right in the middle of a big city.
permaculture cute moments just keep coming throughout the whole thing.
