Thank you for your interest stevie Information about cost for the course can be found at the aardwerk.org website. The URL is http://aardwerk.org/international-pdc-2013/registration/ or just press the red button on the home page.
Please excuse me for not going into detail here as there are many options depending or where you are from and the choices you make.

Work-trade opportunities. In principle: yes. In practice I prefer that you bring one or more other paying participants in return for a substantial discount on your own course fee.
If you would like to discuss this further or have any more questions please contact me at leo@aardwerk.org.

warm regards,

From 5 through 26 February 2013 St. Eustatius (aka Statia) will host the second Permaculture Design Certificate course, organised by Aardwerk in association with GreenBlend, Congo Preserve and STENAPA.
In the three-week course format you will change your view of the world. You will learn to see, design and realise abundance in a world with real limits by working with nature.
The course covers all the basics of permaculture, from its ethics and design principles to applied (bio)chemistry, physics and ecology. You will learn how to 'read the landscape' and make designs based on 'how nature would do it' to the advantage of thriving communities.
We have a pool of international, inspired and experienced permaculture teachers, like John Button, Claudio Madaune and Fransje de Waard.

The course is a great opportunity to network with people from around the world.

GRUNDTVIG GRANT ELIGIBLE
You may be eligible for a Grundtvig Grant from your national agency if you are a resident of Canary Islands, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, Azores, Madeira, Aruba, Netherlands Antilles, Anguilla, Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands, British Virgin Islands as well as many continental European countries.

Deadline for grant applications for the February 2013 session on Statia is 16 SEPTEMBER 2012! You have about two weeks from today to apply.
You will need some proof of acceptance as a participant of the course, so you will need to register for the course first.

PLEASE NOTE that Aardwerk is not involved in awarding any Grundtvig grants. That is exclusively up to your respective national agency. We are happy to point you in the right direction though, so please feel free to ask.

IS IT FOR ME
Since you are hanging out at the permies.com forums: probably. If you are also living in the Caribbean region: very likely. If you are also involved in community development, sustainable development, food security, biodiversity, reskilling, economic development, resource management, reforestation, agro-ecology etc: then definitely.
If you work for government, education, business or non-profit organisation or are a student or private citizen with community spirit, this permaculture design course will change your life and benefit you, your family and community.

REQUIREMENTS
Our PDC courses are hands-on. Participants will get the most out of it when in a good physical condition. Participants are expected to take responsibility for their own learning outcomes and actively contribute to the learning experience of the group.
