I planted a couple of apple trees that i bought from Home Depot last fall, a Golden Delicious, and a Red Delicious. I did some pruning when i planted it, but i think i may have not taken enough off, so i was hoping for some advice.
This first tree has a large branch that kind of comes out the side and then goes virtually straight up, but it has several "good" looking branches. Branches that under my understanding are good branches for fruit. However based on what i read this whole branch should go since it isin't my leader.
Anyone familiar with apple trees that can point me in the right direction.
