ok so here goes im torn on the idea between earthships and pallet houses so how about a combo package im thinking tires "earthship style" for foundation and crawl space and maybe partially up in living area and using 5x7 pallets used for walls and then for roof typical shipping pallets screwwed together with recycled barn tin.
asking for suggestions ideas etc everything would be appreciated also if anyone has seen pics of sumthing like im talking about id love to see them thanks

i have seen them but was curious as to if there safe to travel on highways if traveling a large distance and also if the tiny house on a trailer would need registered as an rv or if it could still have the trailer registration

hey everyone im working on an idea ive been thinking on like either a 12 ft or 16 ft trailer but the concept ive been thinking of it what if you were always traveling and stay somewhere a couple monthes then go and also with legalization of your house on a trailer to rv or i would think you would so why not make a house that seperates in sections so when tear down comes you lay your peices on the trailer flat and strap them down and head out and when you get to where your goin take straps off and put your walls up with a combo of pulleys you could maybe mount to trailer or by brute strength the material for this build is a trailer im thinking since i got like 40 pallets made of 2x4's and 2x6's and recycled doors and windows. so i know questions may arise like "what about a bathroom or shower. well thats the stumper considering a compost toilet im not sure if the make a lightweight one or if a homemade alternative can be made and shower im considering a camping style shower like the bags that hold like 5 gallons and you hang it and relesase a valve to turn it on and off
whats everyone thoughts opinions any help would be appreciated
thanks

i think i am goin to stay away from the straw and mud concept and find alternative insulation im plannin on using some of the thinner flats from pallets and use them as dutch lap siding ive got a mobile home relative of mine said i can strip out the bath tub and sinks and windows etc out of so i figure that will give me a head start on the inside a little
p.s. kate i do like their pier foundation style and believe i will go with that ty
