Is the glass on a toaster oven door suitable for a looking glass into the front of a rmh? Can it withstand that much heat?

I could use a 55 gallon drum if need be,but my question is..... Does it have to be flat on the bottom or can i use a huge{Domed End} air compressor tank cut in half?im going to have this in my kitchen and 55 gallon drums are not exactly attractive.If someone could help i will very much appreciate it.Thank you,Keith
