I want to grow nasturtiums, but have had terrible 'luck' with the seeds over the past three years ... get next to no return ... though in earlier years I had a good return, plus volunteers for a year or two. Any idea why this might be ... and suggestions for where to buy seeds?

I wan't to grow some kind of mulch on my drain field that I can mow and then feed to my vegetables beds ... from this thread it sounds like the roots of comfrey and vetch are too deep (is that correct), and that white clover and grass would be good for this purpose. Any suggestions for a tall-ish grass to use ... to maximize biomass?
