Hi, I am a man in my 30's. I have been searching for a couple of years now for somewhere I could work on a farm or in a tent like situation.

I love working with older folks, animals or anyone that could use a hand. This could be working for room and board or a small stipend just for needed things such as food, water, etc.

I live in the city now, it is not the life for me in the future. My views and city rules, taxes and crime are not for me.

I currently live very frugally to prepare for living a little simpler. I donated the big TV for a very small old portable TV that uses very little electricity. I have gotten rid of many things that use a lot of energy. I have gotten rid of the big computer and now use my small phone for internet. I have stopped using most of my overhead lighting in favor of a small light that uses less than 5 watts.

Over the past couple of years I have cut down my energy use by 90%. I am about at the point that I could live on solar or small battery power, instead of electricity and be content.

I also got rid of my car last year. Most of the food I eat now could be eaten with out heat, if needed. A lot of canned foods and non pershable items.

I would love to have garden fresh vegetables and things of that kind to eat. My current living arrangement does not really allow that option.

To be honest, I have always wanted to live in a small camper or a barn or something such as that. I listen mostly to good old fashioned radio for most of my information. I am one of the few people left that listens to a small walkman or transistor radio, no ipods for me:-)

I have been trying to live this way because I like to not because I have too.

I know this is a very long post, but I wanted to say Hello to everyone here as a new member and say thank you for such a great site!

If I am a person you think could help you please let me know.

I should ad that as I am used to city life, if you live in or near a medium or large city I might be perfect to help you.
