"Before you can't get at it anymore, coil a whole bunch of pex or irrigation line down in the tank "

Dan Miano's green house project is twin of what I've been designing for the last year (28' X  40'). I have bought the same tanks. I heat them with a large Fresnel lens. This year (as soon as the snow melts!) I was going to "plumb" the pex pipe under the beds so I reacted immediately to this comment about the pex pipe. What do I need to know. As far as underground heating pipes - I chose the pex because I have been told is used in subfloor heating. Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks for the pictures.

Been lurking for months - time to engage.
Three questions:
If the idea is heat radiated from a "mass", and if a steel drum is - as I perceive it - a fairly short lived element of the RMH, why not have the barrel replaced with stone (besides, my wife thinks they're too ugly!)?
If the metal pipes that are used for the exhaust gas are oxidized out in several years, why not use just a stone path for the exhaust gas.
And, if these metal parts need to be replaced after a few years, does that mean that these beautiful "benches" have to be torn up to put in new metal?

Thank you all for the dedication to this idea and forum.
