Sorry this is so late, I've been away from the internet for a few weeks. I just wanted to thank everyone for the responses, I literally have more opportunities to check out than I know what to do with. How many people are saying that these days? I think most folks aren't too much interested in manual labor though.

Honestly though, anybody who is generous enough to be willing to give me the opportunity to learn anything about homesteading will be helping me work towards my dream.

I'm looking to build an underground house, the Mike Oehler style, and would like to eventually be able to be fully self sufficient. I need some experience with that type of living though so I don't die.

Where at?

I'm not in the habit of accepting things for free, so I'd have to pay you somehow, but a neighbor who is so generous would be a big plus.
