Hello,
My name is Eric Stewart and I work for West Pasco Habitat for Humanity . I am raising money for our Kinship Urban Farm project so that we can raise 10,000 seedlings per month to go in our garden, as well as shared with other community and school gardens in West Pasco. We are one of a kind out of 1400 Habitat for Humanities our West Pasco affiliate is the only Re-Store with a Farm in the back! We are endeavoring to integrate the farm into the Habitat construction.
The new and previous Habitat Homes will be offered installs of Gardens, fruit trees, Aquaponics, Chicken coops, Bee- Hives. and more. But first we have to build a working model to teach people!
Kinship Urban Farm is a therapeutic/Learning garden that connects people back to nature, back to spirit, back to basic life skills on how to be a human being. We have groups of students from all ages K-12 and College come through on tours in our garden. Volunteers from drug rehabilitation and half way houses spend time earning community service hours working in the farm. We teach these young people teamwork, leadership skills, as well as life skills on how to grow and cook what they grow.
We are building community, gardens, health, and wellness for West Pasco. Please support us!
Contribute to our project and you can also ask for rewards in the form of the products we will be producing in late 2015/2016 that will be available for pick up at our farm. Thank you!
