Hey Permie-friends! We’re an established farm sanctuary and vegan agri-tourism destination in Ontario (founded 2005) currently taking this project to the next step and converting the land into an intentional community model.

VISION: To provide and participate in a vegan interspecies community where all beings are equal. With sanctuary at our heart, we aim to be a steadfast presence of peace and justice for all, while living close to the Earth.

If interested, you can read more at:
http://peacebird.org

We’re a small seed co as well: http://store.piebird.org/kind/heirloom-seeds
...and for a decade have done workshops on veganic permaculture and alternative building.

The sanctuary is 3.5 hours North of Toronto (ie: North of Muskoka). 28 acres on a river, made up of five different adjoining land titles, perfect for a small community.
Currently there is about an acre of garden space under cultivation (1/3 is edible perennials), and the sanctuary for the animal-persons is about 5 acres.

Let this be a call to all the happy hearts who are interested in living with community in dedication to Animal Liberation. We're keen to connect with other peaceful permies out there who are interested in adding to this vision.

We are offering a unique opportunity for the perfect applicant(s) on our country property & farm. We've been operating our vegan farm, B&B, cottage rental, seed company, sustainable-living workshop series, vegan cookie business, teeny animal sanctuary, vegan restaurant by reservation and concert series with just the two of us for the last nine years. We love it all and are now ready to offer some living space for the perfect person(s) to help this agri-tourism operation become even better!
