Hello Good Dane Miller,

Thanks for posting on here. I'm a permaculture teacher, designer, and consultant with 6 years of varied experience in green building, garden design and urban community gardening. I'd be happy to assist you in developing your project in the best possible way.

Have you watched Geoff Lawton's most recent free video series? I recommend them, particularly the "Property Purchase Checklist" & the "5-Acre Abundance on a Budget" videos, as they demystify some of the particulars of creating a great design.

Hi Robert & Jennifer!

I align with where you're headed, Robert & glad to hear Jenn's similarly stoked, as well.

I am based out of South Jersey and do Permaculture Facilitation in under-served neighborhoods in Philadelphia through a few groups. There is a lot going on in this city and lots more to come! Please check out what we're up to here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/permaculturephiladelphia/

I dream of finding good partners to tend nearby land with a permaculture ecovillage and education center. I think an angle towards kids, with garden-based daycare, home-school groups, adventure camps, etc. similar to http://trackersearth.com would be lovely!

All the best,
Matt

Hi Miles,

Well, the Plants For A Future database says they grow in "Ravines and sandy shores[43]. Stream bottoms and rocky slopes in Texas, usually scrambling over rocks and shrubs[274]." ...and north to Colorado.

So yes, but not near me, in Philadelphia.

Heard it doesn't vine quite so much and is a lot easier to maintain... though grapes are small & seedy... anyone growing &/or selling hybrids? Love to get some cuttings!
