Two suggestions:
1. Using Christmas cards, cover a well washed out can of an appropriate size for the contents. Use tissue paper and/or ribbon and bows to decorate.
2. Use Christmas cards to make boxes.

A great way to recycle cards. Merry Christmas ✨

I love this thread! There are SO MANY things I'd like to do, but due to very limiting health issues, can't. My husband is very helpful with the necessities and I don't want to impose more than he voluntarily offers to assist. I do have a few friends I feel I could ask to help with specific tasks. Take it from me, your offer to help in needful ways means so much to those of us who struggle every day to remain in our home safely. Even if you are one of us, acting on the thoughts of a friend by calling them and letting them know that they are not "out of sight, out of mind" means a great deal and is very encouraging. Thank you all for your willingness to serve.

Thank you for sharing the "recipe" for this salad. We love garlic and yogurt and this combination sounds delicious! I'm usually pretty creative with food, but haven't gotten any sparks of creativity with purslane. I thought about battering some of the larger specimens and deep frying them, but haven't attempted it yet, as I rarely deep fry, but I'm gonna have to give it a try. All suggestions will be appreciated!

Does anyone have any unique ways of using purslane, other than a green salad or steamed like spinach? Thank you!

I've seen a 1 1/2 story greenhouse, the backside full height, with a tromb wall of black 55 gallon barrels, filled with water and sealed, on the ground floor beneath many large drying racks, built from small wood stock and plastic screen fabric. The greenhouse was the front of the ground level and had a lower ceiling of glass panels, slanted up and back to direct the naturally rising hot air up and through the screened drying racks. There were adjustable vents to control the airflow and temperature. This was many years ago and I'm sure I'm not remembering some of the details, but most any greenhouse that's too hot mid to late summer to grow crops could be utilized as a dry house for dehydrating a gardens bounty.

David Ebo, Thanks for sharing the magnetic soap holder video. How cool!

Maybe soak the roof tiles with water and cover with live sod? Keep watered with drip lines.
