Then I ran into this Permies forum, and THEN i ran into the permaculture singles forum.
As I mentioned. Haha, I can't quite get over it.....
So hey, I'm workin on my 69th year. wife died last year and as someone has said on here before, I'm tending to talk to myself a lot, laugh at my own jokes, dance by myself. My few visitors probably wonder at my nonstop verbiosity. I'd say I'm ready for some company.
From my permies profile:
Location: Lac La Hache BC
Occupation: spending my pension, gardening, diggin wild roots, feeding my cats and chickens
Interests: adjusting gracefully to creeping senescence, cooking, fishing, no shortage of interests
I should mention that i'm still quite sexually active, a non sequitur to some, to others otherwise.
Biography: problem child, zookeeper, father, oilfield roughneck, uni student (biology), arctic surveyor, father, horsepacker and guide, father, grandfather, guerrilla grower, father, ecosystem analyst, grandfather again, a well travel worn pleasant peasant.....>
So yes, I speak permaculturese for many years now, but I've been a nomad sort of permaculturalist for most of my adult life, seldom the tied to one place kind. Even now that I'm slowing down some I have about thirty miles of shoreline to poke about in for my crayfish and roots, and all the kokanee or whitefish I could possibly eat, just on my lake alone. I do plenty of gardening but I don't ever begrudge some of it for the flying squirrels or mule deer.
Winter projects: finish digitaly cataloguing my library, convert my canoe to oars from paddles (more efficient), install electric motor to bicycle, try to stay off the damn internet.
