I am looking to find a book or books that detail the different speices of poisons plants including the growth, cultivation, and use of their specific attributes.
Any help you could render would be appreciated. I am also looking for books that cover the uses of non poisons plants as it refers to medicinal purposes.

that's good to know I was considering building my RMH with a concrete bench but I guess it will be cob.

In the book by ianto evans it covers building a RMH on a wood floor and has lots of great info an air gap between the floor and the burn chamber is the best method of insulating the wood.

ok so I got the book and have read it cover to cover twice now I see the importance of sizing the burn chamber and feed tube and riser correctly I watched the videos and have picked up some good info there as well I think this will work for heating the new house, My questions are 1. is it better to have the riser made from a round pipe or brick? 2. can I introduce air into the feed tube from outside via a 4" vent pipe with a metal blast gate so it can be shut down ? is it possible to switch the feed burn and riser to 10" without having to spend a billion dollars on super thick stainless steel and other components? also can cement be used in place of cob my wife isn't so hot on the idea of a mud furnace in the living room.

im going to pick up the books and study ill build a green house heater first to work the kinks out and go from there, I would love to build a house from tires like that but the wife would not go for it thanks for the video suggestions ill have more questions later.

thanks for the info ill put that into my plans I am going to be building a house in Greencastle, Indiana I want to put the stove in the large open living area the house is going to have a large stair case in the middle of the house and open up to a big landing that all the bedrooms and bath room will open up to I also plan on putting vents in the celling that open up to the floor above to get more heat up stairs, as a back up im going to install a minisplit system through out the house but I don't think I will need to use it to heat as I am also going to have a wood burning cook stove in the kitchen that I will use during the fall and winter months. one thing that concerns me is that I am going to be using SIPs to build they make for a very air tight house should I plan for some makeup air from the outside? too many questions also can I make the feed port taller to allow for longer sticks?

Hi this may not be the tread to post this but im new here and couldn't figure out how to start a new thread, my question has to do with venting the rmh dose it have to go up and through the roof or can I vent it out through a wall? If I do vent it through the roof dose the extra pipe present a problem like introducing smoke back? and where can I get this book on building them? thanks
