Oh, all very good replies and lots for us to think about! Permaculture is a "new" thing in LDS land so not many people know about it. Or it's just too far out there for them to consider. Slowly we can make a change! So many LDS are content with the status quo. Boy... if only they opened their eyes!

My husband and I are in our 30's and we have four rather fantastic kids. James is currently hiking and filming a documentary along the Appalachian Trail. Since we are from the Pac NW and 6 months is a long time to be away from each other we are tagging along setting up base camp/studios along the way up the trail. We are currently in Roanoke, VA and are moving up to PA soon for a few weeks. It has been a great adventure and the kids and I get to see him on the weekends and get a little hiking of our own in.

But we miss having chickens. And rabbits. And growing a garden. And living sustainably. We do love adventure though!

For the last 8 years my husband has been a manager at Trader Joes. It's always been our intent to start homesteading but it just hasn't worked out for us. So we are looking for a place to land when he is done with filming in the fall. We both are hard workers. We homeschool. We believe in the value of education. We are healthy and love holistic and herbal medicine. We understand a little about permaculture and are willing to learn more. Sustainable agriculture is an important thing in our view. I also knit, crochet, spin, bake, cook, sew a little, sing, act, paint, craft, am a henna artist, and am looking into a few energy healing modalities to learn and set up a practice.

We are LDS (Mormon) and observe our faith daily and attend church on Sundays. We would love to be with preppers, other LDS if possible but it's not a requirement, sustainable and most importantly loving and kind people. We are looking for those who respect us and our beliefs as we respect others.

Anyways- we are pretty mobile right now. If you have something you think would work for us send me a message!

I don't know if you are still on here but we would be interested in talking with you. We are currently in VA until the 23rd and then will be up in PA for a few weeks. Husband is hiking the AT but we are looking for our next adventure when he is done in September.
