This won't be a wildly popular post but remember you did say "desperate". So a few years back I had some health issues and to make a long story readable I tried a vegan diet to try and fix my health issues as a last ditch effort. It worked! One of the pleasant side affects of my new diet after about three months was that I had no allergy symptoms. It was still winter so I didn't think to much of it. But when spring came along my allergies were still nonexistent. I have had hay fever for as long as I can consciously remeber. To the point of loosing eye sight because my eyes were swollen shut. I also thought I was born with two nostrils so I could breathe out of one while the other was plugged. XD

I'm just finishing writing a program for an automated small to medium scale biogas
systems. It is modeled after Comercial biogas systems. The digester is kept warm
with its own gas and is agitated periodically to prevent caking. Gas is passed filtered and dried and compressed for storage. Yes compressed....don't panic. The collection system is always under positive pressure preventing oxygen from entering the collection system. Failure to produce positive pressure shuts the system down. End goal is to be able to use normal natural gas appliances with the standard regulators and controls.
The key to biogas is consistent temperature. Then feedstock.
I'm hoping to have my first trial system up running this (2016) summer. My findings will be documented on my youtube channel (good or bad) user name, dadigitechman.

I use old fridge compressors to compress biogas. They will compress up to 250 psi and are sealed so that air doesn't get in your storage. Careful though. Around 250 psi the compressor has caps that blow off (internally) incase of an over pressure situation. As for longevity for the compressors I drilled two holes, one on the top and one on the bottom so I could change out the oil. As well the gas is dried before compressing. First by condensing them through a desiccant bead. I have enough that one desiccant can be dried while the other is use. Compressing wet gas will gum the compressor.
