I don't have any interest in integrating a rocket mass heater into furniture (couch, bed, etc). Can the cob/vent-pipe heat exchanger be built vertically on 12" thick adjacent corner walls in a living area, or as a single, possibly 24" thick free standing wall in a shop for example?
