Hi all. My name is Darren. I just moved to Alexandria Bay from the Carthage area. I've downsized after my divorce from just over five and a half acres to one third of an acre. I'm planning to use this property as an example of urban homesteading planting dwarf fruit trees, espelliered fruit trees, grapes, cold hardy kiwi, berries, currants, raised beds, a cob oven, greenhouse and would love to rip out all of the landscaping in the front and plant an entirely edible landscaping design. I would love to have chickens and one or two bee hives but not sure if they are allowed in my area. I would love to have advice from people in the area trained in permiculture design and others in the area experienced in these types of projects.
