Welcome! I couldn't have joined at a better time! I will b e paying attention to anything you say, as I have always loved growing my own veggies and am only able to do potted/pallet gardens do to being military. I cant wait to get my own land to be able to dig into the ground for what I want! I have had decent results but not as good as I want in pots, and I try to keep my "garden" as organic as possible; the only fertilizer that I use right now is Miracle Grow!

I have always loved the idea of providing my own veggies! They taste so much better and are alot cheaper! I have been growing in pots due to being in the military and came accross this site by chance. I did not know there was a name other than gardening or farming for people growing their own foods! I try to keep it as organic as possible... the most I have used is Miracle Grow fertilizer. I am not in a good situation to make my own compost, but I do plan on finding some land where I can hunt and grow enough food to support most needs for the family! I look forward to learning alot from everyone! I would assume Im in the right area for urban since most likely I will be on base housing or in areas where I cannot put a garden in the ground!
