Greetings Fellow Permies
My names Dan. I'm 31 years old. I'm looking to purchase my first property in a couple of years time (possibly sooner). I'm looking to gain skills and experience in Permaculture. With these skills I can make an informed choice on my first property. I also want to immerse myself in the culture and get some ideas. I am hoping that someone will have a farm / living space / community, that I can work on. I am not in this for financial reward, I am prepared to work for free or pay for my living costs or something. I hope that we can work out an amicable, mutually beneficial arrangement between us. I am open minded on the date. I am initially looking for a two week period, that could be extended depending on how things went.
I have a full time job working as a process analyst / tools (software) introduction / efficiency improvement guy, for a multinational telecommunications company. I have a lot of flexibility in my job and I do a lot of remote working, so there are possibilities available to relocate to an area. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering 2:1. I specialised in Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics (the movement of fluids and the movement of heat). I have never used these skills in a professional environment. When I was a student I intended to design Renewable Power Systems (Wind Turbines / Tidal Generators etc.), but life took me down another path.
I have also worked on building sites when I was younger as a labourer and picked up many skills there. I also ran my own Landscape Gardening Business, DanScape Designs. I put up fences, patios, built drive ways, moved large amounts of earth around etc.
I am not interested in a structured course. I am happy to do what I am told and I enjoy and get fulfilment from manual labour. The bit I enjoy is the design, innovation, creative side. Understanding how a system work and improving it. My personality type can be found here:

Anyway I hope you think I could be an asset to you and I really look forward to hearing from you. If you read this post and think, this might work for Dan, but either there's this problem or I'm not sure if he would like this, post it anyway please! You never know.
Also any suggestions where I could post this, to get it out to a wider audience would be greatly appreciated.
