I have a conventional wood stove with a glass door and flat op with top 6" flue exit. I want to build an insulated secondary combustion chamber on top with the typical rocket stove containment vessel over top of the combustion chamber with a flue exit out the bottom/back. Makes sense to me to fill the existing fire box with extra firebrick on both sides just to make the firebox smaller. Then I have to modify the glass door to accept some kind of feed tube. Does this idea sound feasible to anyone?
