My partner Robin Mercy and I are excited to be offering an introductory workshop on MycoPermaculture: Designing Edible Mushroom Ecosystems. The workshop will take place in our gorgeous hometown of Kaslo, BC on April 6-7. It will be reasonably priced, to make it as accessible as possible.

More details can be found on The Sentinel website at www.sentinelbc.ca.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have had a quick look through the "Community" category. There are a lot of very specific threads on there, some of which I'll definitely check out. I guess I'm looking for more general recommendations... courses, if there are any besides the Earth Activist training one, other authors, good articles, etc.
Hi there Permies! This is my first post on this forum.

I'm curious about what resources people can recommend with regard to social permaculture, broadly defined. This could include topics like group collaboration and decision-making processes, economic structures, ecovillage organisation, Transition Towns (already familiar with the Transition Network as I helped start a group in my hometown several years ago), individual spiritual approaches as they relate to permaculture or social change, interpersonal relationships, or really any way in which permaculture principles are applied to social organisation and relationships between humans.

I'm looking into creating an online Social Permaculture course for Gaia College (www.gaiacollege.ca), a great organisation for which I've done some teaching (organic gardening) and other work over the years. I have some background in this area and have completed a PDC and Teacher Training at the Bullock Brothers Homestead on Orcas Island (WA), but don't feel that up-to-date as I've taken time off from the permaculture world to move around, have a kid, etc. And it's a broad field! So any tips folks can offer as to a) resources I could access in building this course, and b) what you'd like to see included in an online social permaculture course, would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Tamara

P.S. I'm somewhat familiar with the work Joanna Macy and Starhawk are doing in this area, though I know there's much more there to delve into.
