Hello everyone, my name is ROBERT FOX and I’ve been growing apples in Fairbanks Alaska since 1986. I’ve had tremendous success with a number of apples, and have recently developed one I have named Karen’s Blush. Heritage is unknown but came from apples harvested from Claire Lammers orchard. I grew the seed in 2011, selected a number of trees for trial...But Karen’s blush was by far superior choice. On its own rootsit produced one apple over 2 inches the second year. I have been grafted in this Apple for some years now...On my own root stock, and it is normal for this tree to fruit the following spring, where I will usually let it set one apple, and still see the tree grow to 4 feet. The second year it will still produce, as well as the third and every year after. This past winter we had three weeks of 40 below, and trees are doing just fine.
