Hi Mike, Where exactly are you in Colorado? I am from Kayenta, AZ, a small town on the Navajo Reservation just 2 hours away from the 4 corners border. I am an aspiring student of permaculture and found your forum very interesting. I've just started a small permaculture design with a small hugelkulture and a plot of land. Im starting from scratch and have been looking for ideas and tips on permies. I am very interested in what you're offering. I have some experience with renovating and I know how to operate various power tools. I love to learn more about permaculture and living a more sustainable lifestyle so that one day I can bring back that knowledge to my people here and start building a foundation for the community. It's very difficult to access organic food in my town because the closest place to get healthy food is 2 hours or more away in a town that sells it. The only places to eat are fast food joints, gas stations, and a grocery store that doesn't offer any organic ingredients whatsoever. The problems I see in my community all fall back to the food we're consuming. I've been constantly looking for a program or a teacher of permaculture nearby that can help me in what I am trying to accomplish.
