I love my '95 Ford Ranger extended cab, 5-speed, 2 wheel drive. I plan to convert it to electric when either 1. gas prices get too high or 2. the ICE dies.

What about wheat or another grain? Locally grown grains are very popular in my area, and sell well at farmer's markets.

Thanks Miles, I'm a long-time subscriber to Engineer775 and yes, that is my go-to video for sure. I was out at the property yesterday and took several photos and videos of the spring and structures around it. It looks to be an old development as the pit is open-air, and construction of the spring box is stone--as in pre-quarry "from the river" stone. There's a pipe coming out of the pit that runs underground, but to no apparent homes or structures on the property. Hoping it's an old homesite that was demolished and they left the pipe. There are no easements or deed indications that this spring supplies the neighbors.

Checking if anyone else has developed a spring on their property? In a perfect world, in North Carolina and Madison county.

I talked to the county and received a pretty nonchalant response... sounds like they don't really care (yay!) if we choose to drink the spring water.

Those who have developed their spring (or have a spring fed house), what have your experiences been?

I know that lenders will not give mortgage on a spring fed house... that's okay. I'm not getting a mortgage for this property.

We ABSOLUTELY will get the water tested to be sure it is safe to drink.
