please can anyone identify the fire in the pictures attached??
The unit looks to be a Victorian/Edwardian style stove used for heating only (not cooking). i think it started out in life as a solid fuel unit but has been converted to gas? the opening itself is quite small but the unit is fairly large and it looks as though it would have somehow recycled the heat and stored it in the back of the unit meaning it would have been more efficient than a standard fire.
Any help in identifying this would be much appreciated.
