Hi all,
This is my first post here, but I just wanted to put it out there in the "crittersphere", that if anyone here has any questions or could use some advice regarding horses. I do have quite a knowledge base to draw from, and have decades of experience with horses.
So, I'm just puttin' that out there
I am 44 and live on Vancouver Island, I own a 23 acre farm, am single and have 5 horses, 5 dogs and 3 cats right now. I have been primarily working on setting up the property for the horses this last few years, and I am getting closer to my goal with that. Next springs goals are a large garden and to get the chicken coop built and running.
I do want to eventually get off the grid and become as self sufficient as possible. I would like my next projects to include getting hydro electric devices set up , I do have 3 streams running through my property. First I would just like to create enough energy to run my water pump during the winter , as where I live , the winters can have the power out for well over a week at a time. So, that being said, any advice on how a hydro electric rookie can make a simple device to do so , would be greatly appreciated and received.
Thanks for reading this, take care.
Be well
