Hello:

I'm Rob.

I'm a 40 year old man right now in Reno NV but I have a semi nomadic life style. I'm a Nurse Practitioner and about 4 years ago thought I had the job I would retire from. So at this point I move around every 6 months or so for Locums (Travel Nursing) positions. I'd like to settle down and build or restore something. Depending on the state maybe even have a small private practice. In a nutshell I have my life in decent order and I would like you to have the same or be working towards it. I've never been married and no children.

I'm very good with my hands, can fix cars, or anything else with an engine, wire and plumb a house, machine a part, weld, etc.

Areas of interest for me since this is the Permies Board are the intersection of building science and green building, reducing the amount of time and labor involved in such endeavors, and putting a lot of the skills I have learned into practice.

I'm pretty nerdy with a love of science fiction, learning new things, and it seems all my hobbies devolve into reading two column research papers.

Look forward to hearing from people.

They can be fully discharged and left like that for months, they don't burn and should last a long time.
I have them for over 2 years and very happy with them....

The issue is having a very expensive system with no support including ability to get parts.

I thought these would be a great storage choice compared to what is available.

I was hoping the chemistry might be available in the patent so that people could build their own but it's probably not feasible. Just like my nephew and I can build batteries in Mason jars for the science fair but you would not want to run your house on them.

Hello everybody. I have not been able to find an introductory section so I hope that this is in the right place.

I live in Western Central NJ. Many of my co-workers commute from Eastern PA. I have a background in math, engineering, and the sciences. I work in the medical field as a Nurse Practitioner.

I have a great deal of interest in construction, green building, permaculture, alternative energy, and non-polluting vehicles. The bad news is right now I live in an apartment. I'm not really sure where I want to settle down so I do not want to start building yet. I'm also single so I am sure whomever I end up with might not fully appreciate my vision and I hope they have ideas of their own.

I am interested in meeting other people with these interests, and helping them with their projects applying what I have learned and building a network in the region.
