Whatever you do just make sure it is completely mouse proof. My Mother recently lost all her seeds, that were stored in wooden drawers, to mice.
It was quite amazing, the mice went in to every single seed packet to eat the seeds. Although they apparently didn't fancy beans, maybe they were too full from the rest of the seeds.
