I am sad as I can't vote.

None of the options fit our house.

Am I the only person with a propane space heater for the living area and an electric space heater for the bedroom?

I came here to comment about the inground heat pump.

I never thought of a heat pump as something in the ground.  Wish I had learned about the years ago.

An inground heat pump is the next best heater the RMH being first.

But the best is what I found, look up Hydrothermal instead of Geothermal heat pumps. As many others said the use of water to store or transport energy is much more efficient than any dirt. Thanks for the thread.

This kind of information, in accurate, is why we can’t get along in making real effective changes in our interactions with our environment. Please review your terms and implications of “organism” in the water cycle.
I just moved to my property a year ago and I'll be buying berry plants next week from a local farmer!

I am in SE Oklahoma hill area, and heading to setup some berry patches. I have a lot of questions as to the beds and orientation to hillsides and water drainage. I hope research now will be better than fixing or wishing I had started out differently. Hope to see what your book has to say.
Thanks

There is a need for a clearinghouse to bring us the current stewards of the land wishing to foster the continuance of living as one with the land, and those who are starting or progressing stage to plant a family with the land. Just as the Native American of the world held that land really wasn’t owned, but rather engaged in the raising of a family. I’m currently wrestling with society’s mire of laws and restrictions on the people that have the heart & soul to embrace the God given privilege to raise a family and become stewards of God’s gifts. With the God given experience of this life I want to plan and protect the propagation of “GOOD “ stewardship. Working on design for a small community with qualities that reflect God given principles and the fellowship of like thinking individuals to do right by their family. The act of pulling together and festering teamwork to develop the family’s growth. The mind set of the permaculture does provide the preparation of the individual to take this journey, it then takes the pairing up with us current land stewards to help provide the fertile ground to plant these up coming family seeds. Most GOOD stewards are not about the money or value of the tangible things but the protection and propagation of a suitable way of life for the family. It takes planning and trust to pass on stewardship of God’s gift of the land. Anyway enough said, looking to see how this tread works out.

I have three spots I am trying out this year. With new crops and natural growth, these seeds could be the ones to make it. They are along a creek, water side of  pond dam and one new raised bed at the foot of my new green house (first winter). Looking for natural foraging, complimenting growth with some wild gourds and the table. Thanks for the offer.

In some states, OK, If you try to dispose of "gray water" in any other way other than an approved system "Septic system", you can lose your water meter, and/or fined. most states consider gray as Septic as contaminated water. evenif you keep it on your property. play it safe and check.

I'm A Retired Environmental, Inspector, OK, non-state Employee. Be very careful of state Laws. You could lose water rights.
