Who is Evans Owuor Odula?
Evans owuor Odula, a young Kenyan man of 32 years who domiciles in
lake Victoria region of Kenya , who is the brainchild behind badilisha
ecovillage foundation trust wwww.badilishapermaculture.org , a local
organization working to enhance the plight of the poverty stricken
and destitute households of rusinga island using permaculture
approach.
What's is his source of inspiration?
Following the footsteps of his father, and ardent nature lover
, conservationist and permaculture enthusiast and activist encouraged
him to take a bold step and he explored more about permaculture
locally and globally.
What has Evans achieved so far ?
Until now he initiated badilisha projects, which upto now has
successfully organized International permaculture Design courses
locally , besides setting up badilisha center acting as a resource
bank and demonstration site to bolster understanding of the farmers
and also integrating it with community support projects targeting
orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya.
What is Evans s bigger of the benefits of the training?
Evans long term vision was to have a local center where people can
access permaculture information and training, and up to now he has
achieved nearly all that he anticipated , apart from having a local
permaculture teacher which he stills aspire to be. And that this the
purpose he is making this appeal. He has achieved the requirement now
to apply for. A teacher training and has secured and invitation to
undertake a teacher training course

He is appealing for well wishes to support him pay for the course fees
and for travel which is 1800 euros Euros .
How will the training be useful to him and his community?
Supporting him to have this course will go along way to help bring the
much needed permaculture knowledge to Kenya.As he will give back by
offering free courses and practical skills to farmers about working
with nature vis avi ameliorate on the already depleted and
deteriorating biodiversity and break the vicious food security in
Rusinga.The training will help sustain permaculture trainings in
Rusinga and the entire lake victoria bio region
