I currently have painted cedar siding on my house. I need to change some windows and want to add insulation to the exterior and will be removing the siding. If I can take it off and keep condition can it be used in some method of charring or Shou Sugi Ban and reinstalled? would the paint need to be removed? Any particular steps or approach needed. Very new to this so thanks for any thought and/or advice
