Yes, but be sure you are using doors made pre-1987, when glass doors and windows were required to block UV rays. I tried growing plants inside a home with newer windows and learned this the hard way.

I haven't tried it myself, but am wondering if a salad spinner might be helpful for washing it? Anyone tried a salad spinner?

The only problem I have is cleaning it. Even after soaking it in a bowl of water for a couple of hours and rinsing it well, it's still gritty. The only way I could stop this was picking the leaves off one at a time to wash them again, a time-consuming task!

Any tips for easier ways to get all the dirt out?

I stumbled across this product via a video ad. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/efl-electric-fence-light-efl-light101-1294347?cm_mmc=feed-_-GoogleShopping-_-Product-_-1294347&gclid=CjwKCAjw0vTtBRBREiwA3URt7hzmM8dVE-YSqxgnQVkbrKT2-LOtVvOScIDEkaTfLTICTdZ1b6qHMRoChnQQAvD_BwE  ... in case the url doesn't work here, just search "Tractor Supply Company Electric Fence Light"... I wanted to see if I could do a cheap (free) diy and found your post in my search results. I'm no electrician, so I don't want to experiment at using old Christmas light bulbs without some input. Has anyone tried direct wiring Christmas tree light bulbs to an electric fence?
