I think I've found my solution. A screen printed burlap bag with a large basic logo "_______ Biochar" with a hang tag on the draw string with all the information and pictures I was hoping to put on the packaging. And I'll put the char in a paper bag liner inside the burlap sack. Just need to find a good durable paper bag liner... Thanks for the help!

Ahh I like the burlap coffee bag idea. Maybe print my labels on paper and just staple them to the bags and line the burlap bags with a paper bag like you said.

Novel packaging could set your product apart.  I'm guessing you'd charge a fair amount for the char so charging an extra dollar for good packaging may be worth it.

I'm mostly in the process of planning at the moment so I really am not sure how much I'll be selling. And novelty compostable bags would be a homerun. However I've read that with Biochar the finer the better so natrually that is definitely a concern. And the average price I've found online is about $30-40 per cu ft so I think your right that I could invest in some quality packaging. Will definitely consider a custom burlap sack option like this Thanks!

I'm looking to start my own small scale Biochar business selling 1 cu ft bags to local garden supply and hardware stores. I'll need to find a supplier of bags to put the Biochar in. My biggest concern is to create a bag that will help customers passing by the product realize the value of the stuff because very few people know what Biochar even is. I'm thinking of printing a picture on the bag like this demonstrating how plants grow with and without Biochar along with other facts about biochar.
