Looking to start a small eco-village/pocket neighborhood in Bangor, Maine.  Small individually designed passive houses, each under 1000sq', all surrounding a common yard and large communal vegetable garden. Located walking distance to shopping, nature preserve and trail system.  Anyone interested in joining....message me.

I like your plan here. I'm looking to do something very similar in Maine.  Communal garden surrounded by very small tiny house campground with an intentional community feel.  Non profit.... community center building.....meals and beds could be earned through volunteer work.   I'm looking now for land and researching codes etc.  I'd love to hear more of your plans.

I'm in Maine looking to start something here. Tiny house meets Tiny permaculture farm/garden and volunteer community center.

Sorry I'm just seeing your post here....I am thinking something along the lines of a hostel with more of a community center feel to it. Small farm and garden where the community can volunteer in exchange for produce, or daily meals provided by the hostel. A work for stay option allowing hikers to volunteer on the farm in exchange for a meal and bed. Just brainstorming now, but would love to end up there in the next 5 years.

Is anyone interested in joining a small farm and garden in the Bangor Maine area? I'm looking for 5 people to live on my land and help establish a small farm with 5 Tiny house hook ups. I'm looking specifically for a gardener, someone to oversee the animals, and someone skilled in carpentry with tiny home knowledge. If you have your own tiny house you could just rent the hook up from me and your time on the farm would be in exchange for meal share and property amenities. Katie

Hey Larry,
I'm kinda thinking either Monson or the Carrabassett valley area.

Hi,  I'm Katie
I'm currently converting a full length school bus into a home. Im looking for the perfect piece of land to park her on. ... then dreaming of growing a small farm and possible hostel.  I plan to end up near the Appalachian Trail and I'm looking for a partner, male or female,  to help me reach my goal.  The bus is currently parked on 23 acres just outside of Bangor. I also own a small house in Bangor. I'm pretty easy going and possibilities are endless.    Check me out@ Magicalschoolbus.weebly.com
