Hi, I am just starting to go after my dream-to live surrounded by untouched land, preferably prairie lands. I live in Illinois now, Love it but the corn crops have desimated the natural land. I want to believe that it would be possible to find an already built house in a prairie setting not far from a town. Are there places like that at all? If so, where? I can't take harsh winters-the midwest ones are plenty cold and I would like a warmer climate it possible. The goal is for my husband to work part time as a college teacher so we would have to be an hour or less away from civilization. PLease help me start on this dream journey <3
