Hello everybody! Let me start by saying I'm a brand new member of this forum, and I am ridiculously excited to find a group of experienced (at least more than myself) individuals to learn from.
I have been obsessed with earthen building for the last 18 months, and have been soaking up as much info as possible. However, I seem to be one of those who learns best by actually DOING something new. Im hoping there would be someone in the Wyoming region that I would be able to help and learn cob building from?
Not only is this my only financial option currently to get my family of 5 into an actual home (and out of apartments), but this is something that (once mastered) I would like to use to help homeless and less fortunate families across the country.
In my current situation, my parents own 10 acres full of sand and clay deposits, surrounded by hay farmers, and have agreed to allow me to practice and experiment. It is my hope to be able to utilize such a unique opportunity as quickly as possible, but I will be needing a ton of help, wisdom, and insight. Preferably locally for the hands on reason, but I'll take anything I can get. 😆

Ps... as a foundation, my biggest influence thus far is "The Hand-Sculpted House" by Ianto Evans, Michael G. Smith, and Linda Smiley. Anyone with thoughts or opinions about this as a resource, would be appreciated.
