I am looking for a community just like you explained. I want to move somewhere rural where I can raise my three kids and homeschool them and teach them the value of hard work ethics as well as using the land to live as God originally intended.
I am a hard worker and want to be able to make crops to feed and can for times of drought and such. I really seek a simpler laid back atmosphere. I am a Christian (pentecostal) but with the Internet now a days i don't forsee that being a problem if your beliefs don't fully allign with ours we can listen to sermons online. Also i have many friends or should i say family who love this idea too so they would be interested in such an opportunity also. I look forward to hearing from you.
