The goats are such a riot.  Sorry to hear your two are not keeping it cleared.  I was hoping the three Nigerian dwarfs I got could cleanup my 26 acres.😬

I guess my specific question is what to bait the fence with.  Are goats attracted to pop cans?  

So what is a good way to train the goats to electric netting?   Mine already respect hot wire at base of woven wire in their permanent corral.   I tried putting up 5 lines hot wire as temporary fence but it sagged and they jumped over.

Wondering where you are James?   I am just moving on to my property in McNairy county TN.  I find all your posts of like-interests/questions to mine.  

Had Carpenter bees bad in spring 2018, when I was in Wayne county.  They went after old wood, new wood, soft wood, hard woods, painted.....not treated.  Never caught a one in the traps.

Dustin,   I think we are on the same page. I think my first choice would be to have good neighbors that are also interested in living lightly on the earth.   But I certainly have given lots of thought to joining a community.   What have you got there that you say you are interested in bringing in new people?

Yes internet and even cellular is difficult for us on the road.   But maybe we could arrange a visit?
