Recently moved to central VA from Charleston SC. I received my PDC in may 2015 from Surplus Permaculture. I have done advanced fruit guild workshops with Wayne Weiseman and continue to advance my knowledge with projects and workshops whenever possible. My wife and I are currently building a homestead in the small community of Boston VA where we will offer permaculture design and education, herbalism, massage, yoga and outdoor education services.

It's quite possible that it's a guanaco. They're smaller than llamas and their fur is quite different. The tail is also an area of note and the picture showing the tail makes me lean towards guanaco. Llamas have shorter furrier tails usually and the guanaco has a tail more similar to a vicuña which I'm seeing there.
Very cool. I heard Salatin recently at another conference and it was great. I'll have to look into going to that. Thanks for the info!

Hey guys,

My name is Daniel and my wife Jennifer and I just moved up to the area. We are currently in culpeper but will soon be starting our perm. Homestead about 15 miles west of here in Boston VA. We would love to meet some like minded folks in the area! Drop us a line whenever you can!
