Maybe women just don't like posting their replies in the forum, and send PM's instead.  Maybe they are already forming an orderly queue at your front gate!  Hope so!

Lol, well, I better go open the gate... thanks for the smile!

Yup, been here since 2008, so we have that down pretty good. Just trying to decide the best ways to use what we get. In the wet years it's not too bad, in the dry ones there isn't much to worry about using, lol. We get 7 dry years, then 3 semi wet ones, in a pretty predictable pattern. Next year starts the dry pattern...

Hello... figured I oughta pop in and add Shiner Tx to the list of enthusiasts. .. I am a noob to permaculture proper, but realized all my thoughts of how to do things aligned with the perma-culture. On 60 acres of over grazed, over weed killed, and over fertilezed and all that comes with the cattle culture around here. Been cide free for 8 years, and raising all manor of critters. Getting the new, larger market gerden in, and starting on the orchard and Vinyard soon... (Earthworks at least)... love to find some one close by, to bounce thoughts off of, lol

And there you have a noob mistake.. lol. This was supposed to be under roll call... derp

What to say... I don't feel 53 most days, lol, living on 60 acres with cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, goats... have a large market garden, a greenhouse.. I hatch chicks, and poults, sell them as well as pigs, eggs, and produce. I can cook, clean, and can a lot of food. I don't have to have a person with a particular skillset, but, I feel like I need someone... doing this alone is rewarding, kinda, but empty. Sharing the work, goals, and rewards would sure be more fun. Looking for a life companion... I'm about 140, 5-10 and not entirely ugly, so I've been told, and I keep a pretty good tan going, lol. I also have a sense of humor, and love to laugh.

I have noticed, looking down the posts here, that most of the posts put up by guys seem to get few to no responses, while most all of the posts put up by gals seem to get multiple responses. Either there are a lot more fellas out here, or the fairer sex is just shy... hmm. Go ahead, ladies, step out of your comfort zone, and say "Hi", lol.
