My name is Betty Klug and I am looking for high school students to participate in a research program that I am conducting for my PhD dissertation at Capella University.
The purpose of the research is to examine the significance of including an orientation program before using a virtual world as a classroom for learners with Dyslexia or AD/HD.  
Classes held in a virtual world
A safe, flexible environment.
Students should be self-reported ADHD, or Dyslexic
A total of 20-40 hours is required by the student
Time  comment about 2-3 weeks, 5 days a week for 2-2.5 hours a day
Time is spent attending class or doing activities online in the virtual world.
The age requirement for participants is 16 to 20 years old
Must have access to high-speed internet
Students do not need to be in school at this time
Students must not have received a High School diploma and not have completed high school biology

*  This research project is being conducted by the principal of Pinecrest Virtual Academy (PVA) in her role as a research doctoral candidate and not in her role as a teacher or administrator/owner of the school. Some of the activities in the study will be conducted using PVA virtual land and website.  If the researcher’s professional role at the school causes you discomfort you may decline to participate in the study.

I am the Principal/owner of Pinecrest Virtual Academy. We teach permaculture and sustainability and many other hands-on and project based courses. We are looking for part and full time teachers.
Certified Teachers are needed to join our innovative, futurist virtual school. Full and part time positions are available in all subjects for our online school. Textbooks are virtual and allow the teacher to arrange and design their own class materials. Our worldwide school welcomes teachers from all countries to apply. It is the vision of Pinecrest to provide students with an educational experience, which teaches the “whole child” to prepare the student psychologically, socially, and philosophically to meet the world and become productive citizens. We will accomplish our goals through our innovative individualized curriculum’s three (3) elements: Academics, “Creative” Courses, and Socialization Activities. The specific goals to which all activities and relationships are directed to are responsibility, respect, resourcefulness, and responsiveness.
