I moved to the Philippines about 6 month ago and started using my DIY-compost toilet.
So far I emptied the buckets into a compost pile similar to the one in Joe Jenkins videos. Now I am worried that in rainy season, with an average of 220mm (8.7in) of rain, the humanure in the pile might be washed out. Or at least the pathogens get flushed out into the surrounding earth.
Does anyone have any experience with compost toilets/humanure composting in the tropics?
