Thanks for your answer!
The mint has emerged, yes, but is not affected by the "rust".

I am still unsure: I live in Oslo, winter is barely over, and these epilobium tetragonum have thus sprouted very recently. Could a fungi develop so quickly, and so specifically on these plants, that are still babies, full of energy, at that time of the year?!

Hello all!

I was weeding a mint bed, mainly removing mainly what I think is epilobium tetragonum.

I noticed quickly that almost all of them had yellow dots, tiny bumps, on their lowest leaves.

I also found, around one of the plants, the same yellow dots on the earth/stone nearby. Yet, this is not paint!

Does anyone know what these yellow dots could be?

Thanks a lot for your replies, all of them seeming very right and so being very helpful!

Here are two last ones if you would have them:

Hello everyone!
We just started looking after a patch of earth next to Vichy, in central France, we are inexperienced gardeners... and the first thing we'd like to understand is how the soil is below our main plot!
So I took pictures of the plants which had grown since the last ploughing of the land (which will hopefully not happen again on our watch) (about 4 months ago), and I am asking for some help: if you recognise these, could you tell me which they are and, even better, what they mean regarding the soil below?
Here are the pictures, and thanks a lot!
