Howdy! My name is Isaak, and I'm looking to help out on any natural building projects. Generally, my range is the 'West'- I've always been Oregon based, with a willingness to travel to California, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, and potentially beyond depending on the project. Just ask!
I am confident in working with natural plasters- lime, earthen, even tadelakt! I can help to manage the work flow of a project, from selecting materials, prep, to application. Base coat to finish. What makes my heart sing is working on artistically motivated projects that require attention to detail.
Previously, I've interned at Commuinity Rebuilds out of Moab, Utah- aiding in the construction of 3 straw bale homes. Since then, I've been working on a few plastering projects in Southern Oregon. I'm able to work on all elements of bale stacking and prep. I'm an intermediate carpenter, and while able to work on projects would not consider myself in a position to be the lead on that. I can certainly take the initiative to independently work on many types of carpentry projects, however. Depending on the duration of the job (e.g. I may not travel beyond Oregon for exclusively this), I'd be happy to help with earthworks and general labor for a build.
Right now, things are flexible and open for me. Perhaps you want some interior plastering done this winter. Or you'd like to have me for a few months to help on a full build in the spring. Let's talk! Whatever it is, I'm listening. I am most conveniently reached at
isaakoliansky@gmail.com to discuss rates and availability. Shalom, friend!
