Well, gosh, I just joined this Permies group and figured I'd check out the dating scene since I just got divorced after 30 years and somehow I just feel I don't want to start my retirement orchard all by myself. Unfortunately, I left TAMU College Station because I can't stand fire ants and won't ever go back where the darned things live, at least while I can't walk barefoot! Been down 'round Shiner on my way to the Valley many times, and I really love making prickly pear cactus wine jelly. Hopefully, you've found someone by now to help you tend the land, as I will admit I miss the vistas Texas offers and the warm dry winds (coming up on the Boston winter!). My land of love is the Shenandoah Valley, hopefully someday I'll go back that way, or to Oregon, where I can pick berries and grow grapes.
