Hi I am new to this website and I have decided to join because I am trying to make yarn with fiber that I have harvested from pineapple leaves. The fiber is used extensively in the Philippines to make formal wear, table linens, bags, mats or any other time that a lightweight but stiff and shear fabric is need. I dont know where to start but I have made crude cordage while playing around with the fiber. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated while I wait for my drop spindle to arrive.
