Hello I would like to have my rotary hoe fling the soil to the side to bury some plastic, has anyone seen anyone make a standard rotary hoe do this?

I am aware of rotary plows which do this but the budget does not currently allow me to get one...

I've read online to use white latex paint, unfortunately that is hard to find here - is white acrylic paint okay?

The field is already clear from a previous crop - if I plan to not hill (I am very lazy) how deep do you think I should plant the seed potato?

Yes getting the potatoes back out will be a problem... Perhaps I can use a shallow moldboard plough to get most of them out, since I have such a large area I'm hoping that getting the easy ones out will be more than enough

I want to grow half an acre or so of potatoes just for fun

I want to do it a very lazy way, I am thinking of just ripping a few lines with the tractor and then placing the potatoes in the rip lines and maybe kicking some dirt over them

I understand potatoes are usually a very dig heavy crop, and the no dig methods I've seen involve bringing in new material which I don't want to do

Has anyone tried this before? I am happy to take a hit in terms of yield because I will be growing in such a large area, but if it won't work at all I will try another way

I have put in a trellis for an espalier orchard, my plan is to grow two dwarfing fruit trees every 3m (there is 3m between each pole)

I am planning of doing 20% pears and 80% apples

I am looking to get 2-3 varities of pear and 6-7 varities of apples

When growing a high density orchard like this, what is the best way to place fruit tree varities?

I have been thinking that I should try and put cultivars which ripen at the same time of the year in the same rows for convenience when picking

Should I avoid putting two of the same cultivar next to eachother?

What's the best place to put the pears? In a row of their own, or interspersed randomly throughout the apples

Here is a rough picture of the plan, between each pair of trees there is a 2.2m pole

Thankyou for your time
